New Alsina Safety Catalogue

June 2010
We recently have updated our Safety Catalogue, a brochure focused on Alsina´s activity on safety systems.

We recently have updated our Safety Catalogue, a brochure focused on Alsina’s activity on safety systems.  Our resolute commitment to safety extends from the investments in the development of products from our R+D department to the continuous “on site” training of professionals and equipment users. Let’s have a look on the information included in this document.

Safety systems = safety work

In the design phase of the formwork systems, Alsina has always taken into account ergonomic factors to improve the operator’s activity. In the instructions manuals and in the technical support given on site we have prioritized the safety and productivity against other interests. As a result of this concern we have a worldwide unique Fall Arrest System designed to prevent falls from heights during the assembling and decking process, and we keep working to provide safety features.

ISO 9001:2008 certificate

Alsina runs under ISO 9001:2008 Certificate. The extent of this certification confirms the maturity and effectiveness of our Quality Management System for the Design, manufacture, marketing (sale and rental), and maintenance of formwork equipment to form concrete. Also includes: provide services in jobsites of setting up products, and implantation of collective safety systems.

Certified systems

The full Alsina Group range of products is registered in the ITEC Register of Materials (Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia). Our Alumecano & Alucubetas slab formwork systems have as product Certificate the Nº 466 Technical Suitability Document, granted by the Eduardo Torroja Institute dated May 30, 2005.

Training and service “on site”

Alsina provides “on site” training; upon client’s request our Sales and Engineering Representatives visit on a daily basis many jobsites where, in addition to advise them on the use and assembly of the different formwork systems, they can give training sessions.

Undergraduate Student training

Alsina has been developing for over a decade an intensive training plan orientated to the academic background. These sessions are given by our team. The experience and feedback from these training sessions help us in the task of communicating the progress that Alsina brings forward to the market in both, the improvement of our systems and the forming processes.
