Jetty Port Structure for Isla Wind Project – Clean Energy for the Philippines
Industry and Energy
Alsina provides flexible decking solutions for the development of a major wind power infrastructure in Quezon Province.
All around the world, energy systems are shifting from fossil fuels to cleaner and more sustainable sources. Aligned with this global vision, the Philippine government is accelerating its transition to green energy in pursuit of a net-zero carbon future.
As part of this strategy, the government—together with private partners—endorsed in 2023 a PHP 37.7 billion initiative: the 553-MW Isla Wind Project. This large-scale development aims to augment the national power supply while creating 1,540 new jobs and establishing the Philippines as a regional leader in renewable energy.
Located across the provinces of Laguna (Paete and Kalayaan) and Quezon (Mauban and Real), the project includes the construction of key infrastructure such as a Jetty port in Mauban, which is essential for transporting materials and facilitating logistics. The initial phase of the project, set to be completed by the end of 2026, will deliver 344.5 MW of wind energy and help support the country’s goal of reaching 20 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
For the construction of the Jetty port’s pile cap decking, Alsina Formwork Southeast Asia Corporation (Philippines) provided a highly adaptable and efficient formwork solution for client Prime Metro BMD. Alsina Formwork supplied its Multiform system, which combines 2UPN steel beams with HT20 wooden beams—a flexible system ideal for diverse geometries and demanding project conditions. This ensured speed, safety, and structural accuracy during execution in a challenging marine environment.
By contributing to this major renewable energy project, Alsina Formwork reaffirms its role as a trusted partner in sustainable infrastructure across Southeast Asia. The Isla Wind Project not only advances clean energy production but also brings socio-economic benefits, including employment opportunities and future tourism potential to the region.
