BBCONSTRUMAT CLOSES ITS 20TH EDITION WITH PARTICIPATION SUCCESS.
BBConstrumat, the International Construction Exhibition of Fira de Barcelona, closed its 20th edition last May 26 with an outstanding exhibitors and visitors participation, reflecting the recovery of the sector.
This latest edition of the fair has had 33% more exhibiting companies than in 2015, reaching a total of 800 brands, and a considerable increase in professional visitors of higher quality and internationality. In this sense, Ana Vallés, president of BBConstrumat, said that the fair “has confirmed the good feelings of a sector with strength to pick up growth and bet without fear of innovation.”
Undoubtedly the latter has been an essential part of the event, with the Future Arena as a central space to show the tools needed to modernize the sector, such as a giant six-meter-high 3D printer and new biomaterials, among other proposals.
BBConstrumat has also been a center of debate and knowledge through three congresses on social housing, innovation and circular economy that have been developed in the Talks Arena area and have had the presence of more than 50 speakers and more than 1,000 attendees throughout the three and a half days of sessions. In this sense, Alsina wanted to do its bit and share its knowledge and know-how on formwork technology by giving a lecture on formworks in the ACE Auditorium for the Sobreestants de Catalunya students on Friday 26.
On the other hand it should not be forgotten that the fair also serves without doubt to carry out all kinds of business contacts and trade agreements, both through the Meetings Arena area (where more than 150 B2B meetings have been held as well as the celebration of The Latin American-European Forum of Construction Chambers, among other activities), as well as visits to exhibitors in the Industry Zone.
Alsina, who thanks ACE (Calculators of Structures Association of Catalonia) for the opportunity to share a stand with them, participated in the fair in a common space shared between the association and 8 partners. There the company attended the inquiries of the professionals who were interested in the innovations that the group, characterized by its spirit of innovation, has contributed to the industry of the formwork, such as the VCM – Friendly Beam, in addition to its classic products guaranteed by more than 65 years of experience, its comprehensive service and the various subsidiaries that Alsina has in the 20 countries in which it operates, which allows the company to offer a portfolio of products and an experience highly demanded and valued by its customers.
The visits to the Alsina Group information point consisted of a 25% of national clients, 25% of potential international clients, 25% of agencies and 25% of suppliers, and many of them showed a special interest in formwork systems and processes for the implementation of Residential projects, in which Alsina has a great experience, among many other types of works.
Likewise, and coinciding with the closing conclusions of the fair organization, we found a greater optimism in the sector compared to past years, which along with exhibitors and visitors growth seems to indicate a clear recovery of the construction sector.
