Bridge over the Fervença River
With a deck 82 meters long and 16 meters wide, with a maximum height of 13 meters and an arcaded area for crossing the river with a span of 6 meters, the viaduct over the Fervença River in Bragança will include the construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes and respective security guards.
The old Veiga Railway Bridge will also be rehabilitated, parallel to the new construction, in order to preserve its historical heritage.
The purpose of these construction sites is the creation of a new road between the Avenida Abade de Baçal traffic circle and the Alto das Cantarias traffic circle, with a length of 3.4 kilometers. This project involves an overall investment of about 5 million euros, financed with 2.6 million euros, and assumes a structuring role, by allowing the connection of several strategic points of the city and freeing up certain urban areas, also making possible the creation of a transport alternative between residential areas, the industrial area and the accesses to the Trás-os-Montes highway.
To implement the viaduct, Alsina has provided its formwork systems: the Alisply Manual Walls formwork system was used for the abutments, the AR Shoring for the deck formwork and the Multiform Table system for the deck modulation.
The participation of Alsina’s technical department helped in the planning of this construction site and in the optimization of the formwork equipment, where the material was reused for the various concreting operations that were carried out.
