Extension of the railway line N. 25 LODZ-DEBICA
The railway line n. 25 Lodz – Debica is a partially electrified single and double track railway line, with a length of 323.528 km, which runs through the towns of Łódzkie, Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie.
The Dębica – Mielec – Tarnobrzeg section was built in 1887 and at the time of construction the railroad had a primarily military purpose, designed to enable the Austro-Hungarian monarchy to quickly transport troops in case of war with Russia. At the same time, the railway played an important economic and civilizing role for Mielec and its surroundings, as the roads for horse-drawn vehicles at that time were in terrible technical condition and totally impassable after thaws or heavy rains.
The last renovation works carried out on the entire railway line during the People’s Republic of Poland took place in 1980, while other renovations on various sections took place in the 1990s and 2000s.
The project
At the moment the line is being expanded on the section between the towns of Padew and Mielec. For the construction of this line, Alsina has supplied its formwork systems for the construction of a 110 meters long viaduct.
A special solution has been designed to overcome the 18 meters of road under the viaduct, using H33 Truss. The remaining part of the viaduct has been solved with AR Shoring to support the deck at an average height of 8 meters from the ground.
The Multiform for Bridges decks was a perfect solution for the viaduct deck formwork.
Finally, a very appreciated solution was the system for the stripping and dismantling of the H33 Truss, obtained by extracting them from the lateral sides of the viaduct.
