Presa Alto Támega Dam
Alsina Portugal executes with its formwork solutions, more than 300,000 m3 of concrete for the Alto Támega Dam in Portugal.
Located in Vila Pouca de Aguiar (Portugal), the Alto Támega Dam is part of an impressive Hydraulic Project consisting of 3 Dams and 3 Hydroelectric Power Plants (Gouvães, Daivões and Alto Tâmega), which will be put into operation between 2022 and 2024.
They will generate a combined power of 1,766 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity each year and will supply clean energy to the equivalent consumption of 440,000 Portuguese homes, avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of 1.2 million tons of CO2, making unnecessary the import of 160,000 tons of oil per year.
For the execution of this impressive hydraulic project, which will undoubtedly be one of the most important in Europe, Alsina Portugal supplied more than 160,000m2 of formwork.
Among the formwork systems used, the following stand out: Climbing MF, Alisply Walls, Alisply Circular, AR Scaffolding, CL Scaffolding, Alisply Universal, VistaForm Slabs, One-Sided Wall, and various special pieces.
