Alsina participates in the construction of a Decathlon commercial building in Lisbon (Portugal)
The project: Commercial building in Lisbon
Alsina’s Formwork delegation in Portugal has started in 2018 its collaboration in the construction of a Decathlon Shopping Center in the city of Lisbon (Portugal).
This commercial building project, which is currently underway, consists of the rehabilitation of an old building and the new construction of a 3-storey commercial building. The rehabilitation areas need columns and beams structural reinforcements, in addition to the demolition of a part of the slabs; while the implementation of the new building is being carried out mostly by Alsina’s Alucubetas reusable dome slabs formwork system.
Alsina: effective and safe solutions for facilities building
Alsina has supplied several of its formwork systems for the implementation of the project, among which are its Alisply and Alisply Multipurpose systems, as well as Alucubetas, Alumecano and HT20 beams.
Alsina’s Alisply range includes several recoverable formwork systems for the construction of walls and columns. This is a resistant, versatile and compatible system with all other accessories from Alisply family systems, a fact that makes so much more profitable the formwork equipment on site.
The formwork surface of different types of Alisply is made of plywood, which offers many advantages over metal surfaces, such as lower weight, higher concrete quality, increased performance and greater resistance to inclement weather.
On the other hand, Alumecano is a re-usable formwork system for the implementation of waffle slabs with permanent coffer, one-way concrete beams and solid slabs. Alumecano only uses 3 basic components (Girder, Support Girder and Drop head) including the revolutionary new Drop head made of duralumin (structural aluminum), which makes it light and resistant for the support of the formwork surface. This system allows to recover a large part of the used equipment (100% of the Boards and 50% of the Struts) 72 hours after concreting, without the need for re-shoring, so they can be used elsewhere, making it a very profitable formwork system.
