Alsina participates in the construction of a production line at the Acerinox factory (Spain)
The project: Production process improvement at Acerinox Europe
Alsina Formwork has participated this year 2017 in the construction of an AP5 line and a ZM7 line (cold rolling mill) as well as the civil works and auxiliary equipment needed to improve the production process at the Acerinox Europe plant in Palmones, Cadiz.
This project, which has an investment of 140 million euros and will contribute to an increase in the workforce up to 6.700 direct and indirect jobs in the factory, aims to increase production in facilities by increasing its quality and energy efficiency.
Alsina: safe and effective solutions for the construction of equipment
For the implementation of the project, Alsina has supplied a wide range of their formwork systems, including 1.000 m2 of Alisply Straight and Alisply Universal, 170 m2 of Alispilar, 130 m2 of one-sided wall, 18.000 m3 of CL- 40 Shoring system, 6.000 m2 of Vistaform slabs and 190 m2 of Multiform. This last system has allowed, by means of its double profile, to save the deposits and the flying structure on the Multiform profile.
On the other hand Alsina’s Alisply range includes several recoverable formwork systems for the construction of walls and columns. This is a resistant, versatile and compatible system with all other accessories from Alisply family systems, a fact that makes so much more profitable the formwork equipment on site. The formwork surface of different types of Alisply is made of plywood, which offers many advantages over metal surfaces, such as lower weight, higher concrete quality, increased performance and greater resistance to inclement weather
Finally, Alsina’s Vistaform Slabs is a traditional formwork system for exposed slabs composed of structural wood beams, supported by adjustable height support elements. This is a fast and versatile system that enables the distribution of beams and propping according to the weight of the slab to be implemented, besides facilitating the encounter with walls and hanging beams since the wooden beams can overlap each other. On the other hand, Vistaform Slabs offers the possibility to use different forming surfaces depending on the project concrete finish requirements, hence allowing a smooth finish.
