Alsina participates in the construction of the Lyautey Square residential in Casablanca (Morocco)
The project: high standing residential building in Casablanca
Alsina’s Formwork delegation in Morocco has started in 2017 its collaboration in the construction of the high standing residential Lyautey Square, located in the Cité des Fleures neighborhood in the city of Casablanca.
This prestigious residential project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2018 and is part of the urban plan to revitalize the Cité des Fleurs consists of the construction of three basements, the ground floor and seven stories with a 2.80 meters free height between floors.
Alsina: fast and efficient solutions for building
For the implementation of the project, Alsina has supplied 1.700 m2 of its Alucubetas formwork system for the construction of the whole story, by using 30 cm and 25 cm domes with a rib of 12 cm.
Alucubetas is a recoverable formwork system that allows making two-way waffle slabs with reusable domes, widely used in facilities such as car parks, malls, schools, sports facilities, etc., allowing a maximum saving of concrete due to its design.
This formwork system designed by Alsina allows making slabs with a standard 2′-7 1/2” x 2′-7 1/2” (80×80 cm) grid (with 4 3/4” (12 cm) ribs), allowing the implementation of other rib dimensions. Our vast experience has enabled us to reach optimal designs that provide minimum deformations, minimum breakage and maximum easiness in form removal, as well as high profitability: three days after pouring concrete the 80% of the elements can be recovered. A line of girders every 7′-10 1/2” (2,40 m) provides shoring until 21 or 28 days later, when the concrete reaches its characteristic resistance.
