Alsina participates in the construction of the Mas Llui residential in Barcelona (Spain)
The project: residential building in Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona)
Alsina Formwork started in 2017 its participation in the construction of the Mas Llui residential complex, located in the town of Sant Just Desvern, which is very close to Barcelona city.
This residential project consists of the construction of three blocks of buildings of six, seven and eight stories respectively, which implies the construction of a total of 25.000 m2 of slabs, corresponding to about 1.000 m2 of slabs in each floor of each of the three blocks.
Alsina: fast and efficient solutions for building
Alsina has supplied its Alumecano and Alispilar formwork systems for the implementation of the project.
Alumecano is a re-usable formwork system for the implementation of waffle slabs with permanent coffer, one-way concrete beams and solid slabs. Alumecano only uses 3 basic components (Girder, Support Girder and Drop head) including the revolutionary new Drop head made of duralumin (structural aluminum), which makes it light and resistant for the support of the formwork surface. This system allows to recover a large part of the used equipment (100% of the Boards and 50% of the Struts) 72 hours after concreting, without the need for re-shoring, so they can be used elsewhere, making it a very profitable formwork system.
On the other hand, Alispilar is a formwork system designed by Alsina to significantly improve the pipeline and work method for the implementation of standard columns in building projects. This is a light but sturdy system that is quick and easy to assembly and that due to its phenolic plywood and chamfer strips (to smooth the edges) provides a high quality concrete finish.
This is a very profitable system and adapts to all markets and typologies of projects, so it has been successfully used in many projects around the world since its inception and it’s gaining more and more followers everyday.
