Alsina participates in the construction of the Walcrest reservoir in Dallas (United States)
The project: hydraulic project in Dallas
Alsina’s Formwork delegation in Houston has started in 2017 its collaboration in the construction of the Walcrest Reservoir, located in Dallas, State of Texas.
This hydraulic project, which will be completed in 2018, involves the implementation of a 13,900 square meters slab of a concrete deposit. The formwork system proposed by Alsina to carry it out allows obtain high productivity rates despite the challenge that involves implementing concrete slabs at a height of approximately 12 meters and with a constant slope.
Alsina: fast and efficient solutions for the construction of hydraulic projects
For the implementation of this project Alsina has supplied 465 square meters of its A-lite formwork system with Vistaform table to carry out the deposit slab.
The A-lite Post-shore is Alsina’s new telescopic shoring system made of aluminum, which makes it both lightweight and strong, and it can be used as an independent support post-shore, or as part of a loading tower.
The so-called bracing frame accessory has been designed to brace the A-Lite post-shores, and safely and quickly assemble independent loading towers.
This is a very profitable system, since its design, lightweight and multiple accessories greatly facilitate work on site, allowing to work with complete safety without needing to use a crane and ensuring high on-site productivity. At the same time, it’s a safe system, which includes a safety feature to prevent the post-shore shank from working loose from the thread. This system stabilizes the unit once the post-shore has been adjusted to the desired height for on site installation and subsequent handling.
The A-lite Post-shore and the bracing frames are compatible with Alsina’s following systems: HT-20 Wood Beam / Vistaform Slab, Aluminium Girder / Aluflex System, MF Steel Girder / Multiform Table.
On the other hand, Alsina’s Vistaform Slabs is a traditional formwork system for exposed slabs composed of structural wood beams, supported by adjustable height support elements. This is a fast and versatile system that enables the distribution of beams and propping according to the weight of the slab to be implemented, besides facilitating the encounter with walls and hanging beams since the wooden beams can overlap each other. On the other hand, Vistaform Slabs offers the possibility to use different forming surfaces depending on the project concrete finish requirements, hence allowing a smooth finish.
