Alsina participates in the reconstruction of the Pont del Dimoni in Girona (Spain)
The project: Pont del Dimoni (Bridge of the devil)
Alsina has participated in the reconstruction of the Pont del Dimoni located in the center of the city of Girona (Spain). The objective of the intervention consisted in the construction of the bridge, by rebuilding the two lateral arches made with concrete abutments, the voussoirs of the fourteenth century and the traditional masonry wall, maintaining the original image. Work will also be done to reproduce the measurements that the old building had.
The new structure will serve as a way for pedestrians to go over the Güell River, connecting Maçana Street, in the neighborhood of Santa Eugènia, with that of Mare de Déu dels Àngels and Pere Compte, in the neighborhood of Sant Narcís.
Alsina: effective and safe formwork solutions for civils works.
For the implementation of the project, Alsina supplied Multiform for the deck formwork.
Alsina’s Multiform system, consisting of double UPN metal beams, wooden beams, strips and turnbuckles is one of Alsina’s most versatile systems, allowing “ad hoc” design of the necessary recoverable formwork to adapt to any geometry whether they are straight, curved or one sided walls, lintels or bridge boards.
Location: Girona, Spain.
