Alsina Portugal collaborates in the execution of the Nova School of Business & Economics Carcavelos Campus
The project: New Business and Economics Campus
The Nova School of Business and Economics is the faculty of economic sciences, finance and management at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, one of the most prestigious business schools in Portugal and a leader in Europe and has planned to transfer its headquarters to Carcavelos before starting the next school year. The project is valued at an investment close to 50 million euros and although it is a public university, it has been fully financed by private and institutional donors.
At the same time as the opening of the university, the town of Carcavelos is undergoing some significant upgrades. This will include the opening of four five-star hotels and a four-star hotel in this town. To top it off, the marina in the village of Cascais is being renovated and will boast an international hotel and new shopping areas.
Alsina Portugal Formwork Solutions
This imposing building covers more than 320.000 sq. m. of constructed area the construction of an 26 auditorium, 55 study rooms, laboratories, a research center, a gym and fitness center and more.
To address the slab formwork, Alsina has supplied a total of 5.000 sq. m. of Alucubetas, a slab formwork system with a reusable coffer.
The slab support has been addressed by supplying 15.000 units of the Alisan Post Shore system.
The formwork of the columns has been done using the Alisply Universal system for columns with larger dimensions and the Alispilar system to carry out smaller columns.
For vertical structures, Alisply Robust Walls systems are being used as a solution for one-sided walls, two-sided walls and other vertical walls.
