MU-31 highway (Spain)

The Project for the new MU-31 highway, which runs along the southwest of Murcia city with an approximate length of 4,1 Km, started at the beginning of 2009. The Alisply Walls system was used for the implementation of the side shuttering of the capitals of the E-5 structure. This system was in its turn resting on the lower platform of the SCAP equipment (System for Capitals). Thanks to the set of descending wedges the system is made up of (with a 50 tons service capacity for vertical stresses), once the capital is concreted all the material can be unloaded, thus facilitating the form release operations.

Once the formwork is released, the whole system can be placed directly on top of the anchors of the next pile without having to carry out previous tasks, which increases significantly the productivity rates of the capitals formworking/formwork release operations. Alsina is also implementing the E-7 structure, which consists of two parallel decks supported by a total of 40 piles
