Alsina is a finalist in the Bauma Innovation Award 2022
Alsina is always firmly committed to innovation and sustainability so it’s such an honor to announce that we are finalists of the 2022 Innovation Bauma Award, in the Climate Protection section.
Our new project is a system that uses an electronic device to measure the wall thickness of hollow metal profiles, discriminating or ignoring possible layers of paint, dirt or oxides on the inner or outer faces. In addition to these virtues, our system allows you to measure thickness at any point of the metal profile, even if it’s far away from one end.
Nowadays, when you can’t be sure if the interior is rusted or not, the alternative is to scrap and manufacture a new part. Innovation here comes from being able to delay scrapping, and the benefit of the energy saving it entails.
