Planned city “Nueva Ciudad de Olmos”
Alsina’s Formwork delegation in Peru collaborated in the construction of a planned city in Peru, through the execution of the 4 elevated water tanks.
The Creation of the city “NUEVA CIUDAD DE OLMOS”, is the largest Integral urban project in the history of Peru, being the first planned City of the North of the Country, which arises as a result of the start-up of the Olmos Tinajones irrigation project. With an extension of 734 hectares, which will house 111,000 inhabitants, its uniqueness lies in the combination of an important industrial use with residential areas, large green areas of proximity, shopping areas, leisure centres and public facilities.
Alsina: versatile and effective solutions for water treatment projects.
Due to the complexity and magnitude of the four water tanks, the project required a great technical effort and coordination between the Technical and Logistics Department of the delegation of Peru to complete the execution, because all the Multiform formwork of the delegation had to be used.
For the implementation of the project, Alsina is supplying a wide variety of its formwork systems, including Alisply Circular, Multiform System, One-Sided Climbing System y CL-40 Shoring System.
Alisply Circular, is a recoverable modular formwork for circular concrete walls, designed to be manipulated with a crane. Alisply Circular consists of a light galvanized steel frame and a 15mm thick phenolic plywood lining. The frame incorporates tie rods that allow giving the wall the required radius on site.
On the other hand, Alsina’s Multiform system, consisting of double UPN metal beams, wooden beams, strips and turnbuckles is one of Alsina’s most versatile systems, allowing “ad hoc” design of the necessary recoverable formwork to adapt to any geometry whether they are straight, curved or one sided walls, lintels or bridge boards.
