Amador Convention Center
Alsina’s Formwork delegation in Panama began its collaboration in the construction of the Amador Convention Center, in Panama City.
This building project, which is scheduled to be completed this year 2018, consists of the construction of the largest Convention Center in Panama with a total area of 58.000 square meters distributed over two stories.
The convention center will have three salons for fairs and exhibitions, totaling 15.000 square meters, plus 4.000 square meters of banquet hall areas, 1.000 square meters for meetings and a parking area for 1.700 vehicles.
Alsina: effective and safe solutions for facilities building
Alsina has supplied several of its formwork systems for the implementation of the project, among which are 250 linear meters of Platforms with Multiform Climbing System and C-160 Climbing System, 200 m2 of Alisply Multipurpose, 750 m2 of Alisply Heavy Walls, 100 m2 of Alispilar and 28 linear meters of site stair tower.
Alsina’s C-160 Climbing system allows piles and walls of climbing cycles with pouring heights of up to 4 meters, to be formed with total safety for the operators. The assembly of the climbing platform and its safety platform can be carried out on the ground, before positioning it on the wall or pile, or by placing the platforms in the anchorage rings and assembling the platform later. It can be set using either Alisply (straight and radius walls) or Vistaform and Multiform formwork systems, making it a very versatile but also safe system.
On the other hand, Alsina’s Alisply range includes several recoverable formwork systems for the construction of walls and columns. This is a resistant, versatile and compatible system with all other accessories from Alisply family systems, a fact that makes so much more profitable the formwork equipment on site.
The formwork surface of different types of Alisply is made of plywood, which offers many advantages over metal surfaces, such as lower weight, higher concrete quality, increased performance and greater resistance to inclement weather.
Finally, Alispilar is a formwork system designed by Alsina to significantly improve the pipeline and work method for the implementation of standard columns in building projects. This is a light but sturdy system that is quick and easy to assembly and that due to its phenolic plywood and chamfer strips (to smooth the edges) provides a high quality concrete finish.
This is a very profitable system and adapts to all markets and typologies of projects, so it has been successfully used in many projects around the world since its inception and it’s gaining more and more followers everyday.
