Alsina Formwork sponsored the first Women’s Solidarity Tournament with sports equipment.  The competition took place on June 8 at Terrassa’s Olympic Camp and brought together seven teams of mothers with the aim of raising money for research on pediatric rare diseases.

The tournament was organized in favor of the association Cors lluitadors de Duchenne and for the benefit of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. Besides the team of Terrassa FC mothers, the main promoters of this tournament, there were also six more teams of mothers from different points of the Barcelona province.

In addition to football matches, there were also performances by the Dance Street & Fes Gym School and the Colla Gegantera de Les Fonts, as well as children’s workshops, makeup and solidary raffles, all with free admission.

On the other hand, through the team of mothers of the club and the player of the first team Àlex Fernández, the Terrassa FC has published a 2019 solidary calendar in order to raise funds against minor pediatric diseases and contribute to the research carried out by the Hospital Sant Joan of Déu. This includes 14 photographs, the work of the press officer of the club, Juanma Medina, whose protagonists are Arnau, Dani, Joel and Oriol, four children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, in addition to the team members of Terrassa mothers and the player of the first team, Àlex Fernández. The calendars, which have the collaboration of the association Cors Lluitadors de Duchenne, can be purchased at the Camp Olímpic offices at a price of 5 euros. The money raised will go to the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital to advance knowledge of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
